FAQ

  • How long can I expect my roof system to last?

This will greatly depend on the type of roofing system you choose, the geometry of your building and the surrounding environment including weather. Here's a helpful guideline we've put together for you based on the different roof systems we install:

    TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin)

Typical lifespan: ~20–30 years with quality installation and maintenance

    Variants by thickness:

    45 mil: ~15–20 years

    60–80 mil: ~20–30+ years

Notes: Proper seam welding, inspections, and upkeep significantly influence longevity

    PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

    Typical lifespan: ~20–30 years

Extended life: Some installations have exceeded 40 years with optimal conditions

    EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

    Standard lifespan: ~25–35 years

Maximum potential: 40–50+ years on fully‑adhered or fleece-reinforced systems with top-tier maintenance.

    Modified Bitumen (APP/SBS)

Typical lifespan: ~20–30 years for 2‑ or 3‑ply systems

    Variations:

    2‑ply: 15–25 years

    3‑ply: up to 30 years

  • My roof leaks. Do I need to have it replaced completely?

That could be the case, but that's not our first step. We need to chase down the cause of the leak first, then we can determine the best way to address the problem. You can rely on our experts and cutting-edge tools and techniques to identify leaks fast and reliably.

  • Are your services covered by my insurance?

This will depend on your coverage, whether or not you have maintained and inspected the roof at the proper intervals, and if there are any other mitigating factors. You can always give us a call and one of our team members will be happy to discuss your options based on what is actually covered in your insurance agreement.

  • When is the best time to do roofing repairs?

The absolute best time to do repairs is during the dry summer and early fall months, however we can work around different weather conditions and provide temporary coverage for roof sections as we work on underlying issues as needed. It may take longer than during dry weather, however our team is experienced and capable of doing the job year round.
